Use brvision’s construction vehicle safety system to prevent accidents
Use brvision’s construction vehicle safety system to prevent accidents

On construction sites, the safety of workers and vehicles is the most important. However, the combination of heavy equipment machinery and road and off-highway construction vehicles poses a real threat. On average, 190,000 workers are killed each year and 790,000 are seriously injured. Slow vehicles, blind spots, and poor visibility conditions have created some of the world’s most risky work environments.

brvision’s market-leading safety system for construction vehicles is designed to prevent accidents and improve safety in accordance with regulations such as FORS, CLOCS, HS2 and Crossrail. From the 360-degree camera system to the white audible alarm, see the comprehensive series below.

Site and construction safety
The health and safety of the construction industry is highly valued because it is a dangerous business environment. In fact, the World Health Organization describes the construction industry as one of the most risky work groups in the world. Many people are injured and killed by moving vehicles or machinery.
Noise, large construction vehicles and moving factories, blind spots, and low visibility caused by dust or weather, all these factors combined can create a series of life-threatening hazards and risks.
Active safety systems are designed to prevent accidents by providing greater visibility and proactive warning when a hazard is detected. Brvision has been a leading innovator of safety products, aiming to raise standards across the construction industry and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Safety risks in the construction industry
Globally, millions of workers and machines are busy on construction sites all over the world every year. In order to protect the safety of on-site workers, on-site visitors and equipment assets, strict construction health and safety standards are essential. Threats and challenges posed by this environment include:
Road and off-road limits due to front, side and rear blind spots
Insufficient visibility (darkness, fog, haze, deformation, ice, rain) caused
Earmuffs reduce the ear, nose, and throat capabilities of field staff
Suddenly loud and single reversing alarm by on-site staff
Confusing and conflicting industry safety regulations
Damage caused by criminal activities and prevention
  • How BRVISION can help
By investing in brvision’s safety solutions, you can increase worker safety. The benefits include:
    • All-round visualization to achieve safer and more efficient operation
    • Reduce complaints caused by noise
    • Reduce collisions caused by not paying attention to alarms in field events
    • Reduce accidents Vehicle downtime
    • Meet the health and safety requirements of operators, so that the management and employees can feel at ease
    • Improve the reputation of the company in the society, we always care about people

brvision and CSCEC Construction Group-Take a step towards safety upgrade together
brvision and CSCEC Construction Group-Take a step towards safety upgrade together
Few construction companies are as committed to environmental protection as CSCEC. The recent US$50 million investment in their fleet shows that this forward-thinking company has added electric trucks to their Shenzhen factory to solve the problem of high emissions in a sustainable manner. Sustainability is of course the key. CSCEC is now clearly reaping the rewards that electric vehicles can provide; saving 2/3 of fuel costs, paying zero road taxes and avoiding low-emission zone fees.

Electric trucks often use connection stations and deliver goods in Shenzhen and its surrounding areas, but an important problem is that it makes it difficult to drive new trucks; electric cars are very quiet at low speeds. Because large dump trucks and telescopic forklifts work on the construction site, it is difficult for workers to hear the silent electric trucks approaching. If there is no emotional alarm system, the sound of the truck cannot be heard in time so that the ground workers can take evasive measures. The possibility of a collision due to the inability to hear the sound of the vehicle constitutes a risk that CSCEC does not want to take.

After cooperating with BRvision, CSCEC knew where to find a solution to the problem of vehicle quietness. The BRvision Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is the perfect solution for CSCEC electric trucks, which can alert pedestrians to the presence of electric trucks at low speeds. The sounder is turned off at a speed of 20 miles per hour, so when the road noise produces enough sound for the vehicle to hear, the noise interference will be kept to a minimum.

The Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is designed to produce a mixture of Brvision’s frequency and tonal sounds. This frequency mixing ensures that it can only be heard in hazardous areas, and can be detected and located immediately.

Another reason CSCEC decided to use Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is that it can work under harsh conditions. Since dust, dirt, and sand are common on construction sites, an alarm system that keeps working in these environments is very important.

“Before the Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor was modified, it was very nervous to drive to the scene. I don’t know if people will hear your voice. It’s almost impossible, especially in the morning when we all go to work. Now make sure everyone knows that you are there. There. This is a world like no other." Edgars Tekenbergs Director, CSCEC

CSCEC now hopes to install CSCEC on any electric trucks that are added to their growing Shenzhen electric fleet, keeping the environment friendly and ensuring safety is the top priority.

Safety solutions for construction sites and construction vehicles
  • Camera monitoring system
Camera monitoring systems can help eliminate blind spots in vehicles to prevent collisions. The camera can be used to cover the rear, side and front blind spots as well as the internal vision and monitor specific functions of the vehicle. Multiple camera images can be viewed on a single in-cab monitor.
  • Radar obstacle detection
By providing graded audible and visual warnings in the cab, the driver is notified of the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. BacksenseR radar can work effectively in harsh conditions and low visibility. The custom detection range of the programmable system can be up to 2.5m in length and 1.5m in width. 2.3 or 4 sensor systems can inform the driver of the distance between the vehicle and any obstacle, whether it is moving or stationary. Improve safety during low-speed maneuvers, reversing, or near side and front blind spots where pedestrians and cyclists may go undetected.
  • Mobile hard disk video recorder
By simultaneously recording the shots of up to eight on-board cameras, the digital recorder can provide irrefutable evidence in the event of an accident. The lockable hard drive can store up to 1,164 hours of data, (optional memory size up to 2TB). These data can be easily accessed via a PC or uploaded via a 4G network or dedicated WiFi.
