Use brvision’s construction vehicle safety system to prevent accidents

On construction sites, the safety of workers and vehicles is the most important. However, the combination of heavy equipment machinery and road and off-highway construction vehicles poses a real threat. On average, 190,000 workers are killed each year and 790,000 are seriously injured. Slow vehicles, blind spots, and poor visibility conditions have created some of the world’s most risky work environments.

brvision’s market-leading safety system for construction vehicles is designed to prevent accidents and improve safety in accordance with regulations such as FORS, CLOCS, HS2 and Crossrail. From the 360-degree camera system to the white audible alarm, see the comprehensive series below.

Few construction companies are as committed to environmental protection as CSCEC. The recent US$50 million investment in their fleet shows that this forward-thinking company has added electric trucks to their Shenzhen factory to solve the problem of high emissions in a sustainable manner. Sustainability is of course the key. CSCEC is now clearly reaping the rewards that electric vehicles can provide; saving 2/3 of fuel costs, paying zero road taxes and avoiding low-emission zone fees.

Electric trucks often use connection stations and deliver goods in Shenzhen and its surrounding areas, but an important problem is that it makes it difficult to drive new trucks; electric cars are very quiet at low speeds. Because large dump trucks and telescopic forklifts work on the construction site, it is difficult for workers to hear the silent electric trucks approaching. If there is no emotional alarm system, the sound of the truck cannot be heard in time so that the ground workers can take evasive measures. The possibility of a collision due to the inability to hear the sound of the vehicle constitutes a risk that CSCEC does not want to take.

After cooperating with BRvision, CSCEC knew where to find a solution to the problem of vehicle quietness. The BRvision Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is the perfect solution for CSCEC electric trucks, which can alert pedestrians to the presence of electric trucks at low speeds. The sounder is turned off at a speed of 20 miles per hour, so when the road noise produces enough sound for the vehicle to hear, the noise interference will be kept to a minimum.

The Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is designed to produce a mixture of Brvision’s frequency and tonal sounds. This frequency mixing ensures that it can only be heard in hazardous areas, and can be detected and located immediately.

Another reason CSCEC decided to use Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor is that it can work under harsh conditions. Since dust, dirt, and sand are common on construction sites, an alarm system that keeps working in these environments is very important.

“Before the Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection sensor was modified, it was very nervous to drive to the scene. I don’t know if people will hear your voice. It’s almost impossible, especially in the morning when we all go to work. Now make sure everyone knows that you are there. There. This is a world like no other." Edgars Tekenbergs Director, CSCEC

CSCEC now hopes to install CSCEC on any electric trucks that are added to their growing Shenzhen electric fleet, keeping the environment friendly and ensuring safety is the top priority.
